Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the American Legion Freedom Run, taking place from April 7th to April 20th, 2025, in the scenic town of Athens, McMinn. This exciting 5K race will be held on the beautiful Eureka Trail, a crushed stone path that follows an old railroad bed, offering participants a unique and picturesque running experience. Starting at 9 AM, the race promises to be a fantastic way to celebrate community spirit while supporting important local causes.

Participants can pick up their race packets from 7:30 to 8:45 AM on race day. The Eureka Trailhead, located at 1400 E Madison Avenue, Athens, TN 37303, provides ample parking for all runners. Proceeds from the event will benefit the American Legion Post #68, supporting vital projects such as the Reconnect Suicide Prevention Program, children's patriotism education, and assistance for veterans in need.
