Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the Annapolis 10 Mile Training Program, kicking off on June 29, 2026, and running through August 30, 2026! Set in the charming city of Annapolis, Anne Arundel, this exciting program is designed to help participants build their endurance from a solid 5-mile base up to a full 10-mile run in just 9 weeks. The training aims to prepare everyone for the highly anticipated Annapolis 10 Mile Run or any other 10-mile race taking place on August 20, 2026.
Participants can look forward to a supportive environment with both basic and intermediate training plans tailored to their fitness levels. Enjoy the camaraderie of weekly group runs, including a midweek session and a Sunday long run, while exploring scenic routes around Annapolis. Although the traditional meeting point at City Dock is under construction, runners will still get to experience the spirit of the A10 runs and finish with refreshing cold watermelon. Organiser's Description
This low-key program will guide the participants from a base of 5 miles up to a long run of 10 miles in 9 weeks. The goal will be for all who complete the program to be able to complete the Annapolis 10 Mile Run or other 10 mile race on August 20, 2026.
Annapolis Striders training programs are a FREE benefit for members. If you aren't a member you can become one by simply following the prompts during registration for this training program.
Both basic and intermediate 9 week training plans will be provided.
There will be 1 midweek group run and 1 group long run on Sunday mornings. Historically we have met at City Dock on Sundays; however, this year City Dock is under construction so we will be starting from a different point in Annapolis. We will keep to the spirit of our Sunday A10 runs by running parts of the course and enjoying cold watermelon when we finish.
