Join us for the Atlanta 3k Dog Walk and Festival a dog-focused community event designed to help dogs and their people connect.
REGISTER EARLY, REGISTRATION CLOSES AT 200 DOGS, AS OF MARCH 15TH, WE HAVE 110 REGISTRATIONS.
Taking place on Sunday, May 3 from 8:30 AM12:00 PM at Shirley Franklin Park, this event brings together Atlanta dog parents, families, runners, walkers, and animal lovers for a morning of movement, bonding, and impact.
What Makes This Event Special
Along the 3K route, participants will find interactive dog-and-human bonding moments every 1/2 kilometer, including quick, fun challenges like:
A 5-second sit
Stay, down, or paw cues
Simple connection exercises designed to strengthen focus and teamwork
These moments are optional, welcoming, and designed for dogs of all experience levels making the walk just as enriching as it is fun.
In addition to the 3K walk/run, the festival experience includes:
A dog agility field for playful movement and confidence building
A curated lineup of dog-focused vendors
Community partners and local pet businesses
A relaxed, welcoming environment for dogs and their people
This event is hosted by Pralines Backyard Dog Services, with all proceeds benefiting Pralines Backyard Foundation, [https://pralinesbackyardfoundation.org] a nonprofit that provides safe foster and boarding care for the pets of domestic violence survivors. By protecting pets, the Foundation helps remove one of the biggest barriers survivors face when seeking safety.
Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome.
All ages, all paces, walkers and runners alike are encouraged to participate.
Whether youre here to walk, bond, explore, or support, your participation helps ensure that no one has to choose between their safety and their pet.
