The race kicks off in downtown Pickens, right across from Main Street in front of the First Baptist Church, and concludes at The Open Door. With awards for the top three male and female runners, as well as the top five runners accompanied by dogs, there's plenty of incentive to bring your A-game. Plus, a special award will honor the first First Responder to cross the finish line in uniform. Every participant will receive a finisher medal, and age group awards will be distributed every 10 years. Organiser's Description
We are back for the fourth year for this race/walk. There will be 2 categories, runners/walkers and runners/walkers with dogs. Awards will be given to the top three male and female runners and the top five runners with dogs regardless of gender. A special award will be given to the 1st First Responder to cross the line in uniform. Age group awards will be given out at 10 year intervals. All participants will receive a finisher medal. It is a dog friendly event for a good cause and should not be missed. Feel free to bring your well behaved dog with you.
