Join us for the 3rd Annual Baddow Pass Firefighter 5K-10K-9.11 Mile on Saturday, September 26, 2026, in the charming community of Glenmont, Ohio. This exciting event invites both firefighters and civilians to participate in one of three engaging race distances: a 5K, a 10K, or the meaningful 9.11-mile run, which serves as a tribute to the heroes and victims of the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

For those seeking an extra challenge, the event features the unique "Gear Grind," where firefighters can test their mettle by completing the 5K in full turnout gear and SCBA (off air). As a fundraiser for the Richland Township Volunteer Fire Department, all proceeds will go towards purchasing vital emergency life-saving equipment to ensure our community's safety. Participants who pre-register will receive a commemorative T-shirt, and finishers will earn a special Richland Township Fire Department challenge coin. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each category, along with recognition for our younger runners. We can't wait to see you there for a day of community spirit, fitness, and honor!

Organiser's Description

The 3rd Annual Baddow Pass Firefighter 5K-10K-9.11 mile is being hosted by members of the Richland Township Volunteer Fire Department in Glenmont, OH. We invite all firefighters and civilians to run or walk one of three events - 5K, 10K, or 9.11 mile. The event will also include a 5K "Gear Grind" for firefighters wanting a challenge and wishing to complete the 5K in full turnout gear and SCBA (off air) - running/walking shoes are recommended and encouraged. The 9.11 mile event is meant to bring remembrance to all who were lost and honor all of those affected by the tragic event that occurred on 9/11/2001. This event is being held as a fundraiser for our fire department here in Glenmont. Proceeds made will go towards the purchase of emergency living-saving equipment, so that we are fully prepared to provide for our community when we are called upon. All participants that pre-register will be given a T-shirt, and those who finish their selected event will be given a Richland Township Fire Department challenge coin. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each of the events will be awarded a medal, as well as some special recognition for our younger participants. We are looking forward to this event and hope you will consider participating!
