Organiser's Description
The Bear Creek races takes you onto the trails of Briones Regional Park, located in Contra Costa County on the edges of Lafayette and Orinda. All course include some hills, with the 10K and half marathon getting up the highest and giving runners epic views from the Golden Bridge to the Altamont Pass.
Hikers/walkers are welcome. In fact, it's expected that everyone walks some of the course -- this being the beauty of trail running!
All participants finish on a mile of single track that is almost entirely shaded and downhill.
Unfortunately, this course is not stroller friendly.
