Big Beautiful Life 5K Run Walk & Roll

Join us for the Big Beautiful Life 5k Run Walk Roll (virtual or in person)! Get your body moving and have fun while helping us raise money to provide joy kits to kids in medical crisis as well as awareness for organizations that help them thrive. We will honor our forever 12-year old inspiration, Addi Carroll, 15A1, Essex Fire, on her first Angel-versary by having Addis Engine (Essex Fire) start the in-person race and end the race with a dance party with mascots at the finish!  Sign up, then share and challenge others to join us to have fun while supporting several good causes!
Everyone can Run, Walk or Roll!
1.2k (Run, Walk or Roll): This 1.2k course is completely on asphalt, to enable safe and flat surface for those who are rolling or have difficulty with distances and grade changes. mapmyrun: https://www.mapmyrun.com/workout/73008066255k (Run or Walk): This 5K race utilizes a cross country style course, beginning on asphalt and switching to trail/grass early in the run. Prizes?
Winners will receive medals, Addis Engine book and a gift from our Title Sponsor.Ribbons and electronic finishers certificates for those who complete.Virtual challenge participants will also receive electronic milestone badges.
Discounts?
A $125 donation during registration will provide a joy kit to a child in medical crisis AND a $15 discount on your registration. Individuals and Teams creating fundraisers that raise $500 or more will be listed as race sponsors AND have one full registration refunded!$5 registration refund for every 5 registrants using your referral linkChildren under Five are Free$10 Registration Discount for registrations completed prior to May 21, 2023

Everyone:

Silent Auction: Check out and share our silent auction here, bidding closes June 11 at midnight.We look forward to sharing this meaningful day.
Virtual Participants: Keep logging those steps (logging is open through midnight June 10)!
In Person Participants: We hope to have a fun, high quality, meaningful event that grows year after year. We encourage you to dress in crazy colors, accessorize and sparkle to honor Addi on what will be her first Angel-versary! Our MC is Wild Bill from WOKO! He should keep us on track and make our day extra special and fun!
Pre-registered 5k Walkers: If youre a walker but signed up for the Combined 5k Run/Walk event, feel free to transfer to the 5k walk using these instructions. The 5k walk category has its own 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals. Email Tammy.CarrollBigBeautifulLife.org if you have troubles.
Weather: Addi taught us to dance in the rain! We will host this event rain or shine, except in the event of very concerning lightning or wind in which case we will notify registrants via email and post to this home page.
Air Quality: We are monitoring the air quality due to the wild fires from Quebec using this website. As of  the morning of June 7, we are generally comfortable that the air quality will not affect the Run, Walk Roll. If you are concerned about your respiratory status please consult a physician and use your best judgement.   
Timing: We ask that you arrive at 8:15am for registration and plan to stay until noon to enjoy the Emergency Services touch a truck, dance and learn more about our sponsors and community organizations.  A special guest will start the Run Walk Roll at 10am and we will give medals at 11:15.Parking: Please carpool if you can. There will be parking at the schools on Founders Road.  Once full, overflow parking will be on Sandhill and Foster Roads as well as the parking lots at Sandhill and Foster Parks.  Sandhill Park is furthest away and is a 15 minute walk.Everyone:
