Join us for the 7th Annual Blessing of the Bikes and Runners on Saturday, July 11, 2026, in Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge! This uplifting event kicks off at St. Joseph Cathedral at 9:00 AM, where participants will gather to have their bicycles and running shoes blessed by Father Cary Bani, ensuring a safe and successful training season ahead.
Cyclists can choose between a fast ride starting at 8:00 AM or a slower pace at 7:30 AM, with both groups meeting at L'Auberge Casino Overflow parking lot. Runners will also participate in this heartwarming occasion, which honors our fallen heroes from Louisiana, promoting a sense of community and camaraderie among all attendees. Wear blue to honor law enforcement, red for firefighters, and white for emergency medical personnel. Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to connect, celebrate, and kick off your training season with purpose and positivity!

In addition we will be Honoring Our Fallen Heroes from that tragic day on 7/17/2016, and past fallen heroes from Louisiana
***If you want to cycle to the church parking lot, please meet at the L'Auberge Casino Overflow parking lot at
7:45am to roll out at 8:00am.*** for the faster riders
(16-17 mph)
Meet at 7:00 am to leave at 7:15 am from the casino if you are wanting a slower ride to the church.
Wear Blue to Honor Law Enforcement.
Red to Honor Firefighters
White to Honor Emergency Medical Personnel

Cyclists also have an option to meet at the Past Time Restaurant and follow the last mile.
