Runners can compete for coveted bracket seeds based on their total mileage. Those who run 16 or more miles will be entered into a draw for the top seed, while those completing 15 miles or more can vie for the second seed, and so on, all the way down to participants who run just one mile! The excitement continues with head-to-head matches starting on Tuesday, January 27th, creating opportunities for unexpected "Cinderella" stories as runners advance through the tournament. Rules
$5 entry fee plus runsignup processing fee. Winner of the Blizzard Bracket Run gets to select their charity to donate the money to and 100% of the $5 entry fees will be sent to the charity of choice. Kevin Griffin cannot participate nor win and his charity cannot be selected by the winner.
Run as many miles as you want in the snow between sunup on Saturday January 24th and sundown on Sunday January 25th. Submit your distance through the link in the automated email from runsignup and email a picture of you running in the snow along with a picture of your garmin/coros/apply watch or other tracker to woollyhollowhalf@gmail.com.
* Participants running 16 or more total miles during the timeframe will be entered into a pool for a random drawing for the 1 seed in the bracket.
* Participants running 15 or more total miles during the timeframe will be entered into a pool for a random drawing for the 2 seed in the bracket. This means runners not selected for the 1 seed will have another chance for the 2 and so on.
* Participants running 14 or more total miles during the timeframe will be entered into a pool for a random drawing for the 3 seed in the bracket.
* This will continue on until participants running just 1 mile will be entered into a pool for a random drawing for the 16 seed in the bracket.
* Once a participant is chosen at random for a seed they will be removed from all other pools. Thus a participant can only secure 1 seed for the tournament and it will be the best seed they are drawn for.
* If we don't get 16 participants we will cancel and refund everyone's money.
* If no runners make it 16 miles then we grade on the curve and curve the highest to 16 miles and everyone else accordingly to fill out the field.
After the tournament is seeded on the night of Monday January 26th then the head to head competitions will begin on Tuesday night the 27th. Head to head is just a random drawing based on their number of entries. You do not have to run again.

* Thus the higher seeds always have an advantage, but since the drawing is random their can be Cinderella upsets.

* Winner of 1Vs16 against Winner of 8Vs9
* Winner of 2Vs15 against Winner of 7Vs10
* Winner of 3Vs14 against Winner of 6Vs11
* Winner of 4Vs13 against Winner of 5Vs12
* Each round the participants have the same number of entries as they were assigned at tournament start time. Thus if 1 plays the 9 in the 2nd round the 1 gets 16 entries and 9 gets 8 entries)
Thursday night the 29th
* Winner of 1,16,8,9 pool versus Winner of 4,13,5,12 pool
* Winner of 2,15,7,10 pool versus Winner of 3,14,6,11 pool
Friday night the 30th
* Championship Winner of 1,16,8,9,4,13,5,12 pool versus Winner of 2,15,7,10,3,14,6,11 pool
