Organiser's Description
Monroeville Main Street is excited to host our 3rd Annual BOOK IT 5K Run/Walk on May 10, 2025 in Alabamas Literary Capital. The BOOK IT race will include a special costume contest(optional) for the best Literary Character costume (extra points if the character is from a Monroe County or Alabama authors work). Participants will compete for unique awards and everyone is invited to stay for games, art, music, and storytelling at our SECOND SATURDAY ON THE SQUARE event.
Need a place to stay while visiting Monroeville? We have wonderful Airbnb's located throughout our downtown and lots more within a 5-mile radius. Come early or make a weekend of your visit to Alabama's Literary Capital. We have beautiful shops, great restaurants, and our downtown is filled with unique murals. You will not want to miss the Monroe County Museum or the Literary Capital Sculpture and Story Trails. Come see why we are Alabama's 1st Great American Main Street!
