Join us for the 2nd Annual Brian J. Smith CHAMP 5K on Sunday, March 2nd, 2025, at the beautiful Creve Coeur Lake Park in St. Louis, Missouri. This uplifting event, honoring the cherished memory of Brian J. Smith, is a completely inclusive 5K that welcomes participants of all abilities. Whether you choose to roll, run, walk, jog, dance, ice skate, or swim, your participation helps raise funds for CHAMP Assistance Dogs, a cause close to Brian's heart.
The in-person race kicks off at 10:00 AM at the Tremayne Shelter in Sailboat Cove, rain or shine. Don’t worry if you’ve already registered; your registration will automatically carry over to the new date. Plus, feel free to bring your furry friends along on a lead! If running isn’t your style, you can still contribute through donations to CHAMP in Brian’s memory. Let’s come together to celebrate community, compassion, and the spirit of giving!

UPDATE: NEW RACE DATE!!! Due to unforeseen circumstances, our race has been rescheduled for March 2nd, 2025, the day before Brian's birthday. If you've already registered your registration has rolled over - there is no need to register again. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
This is a completely inclusive 5K in memory of Brian J. Smith, beloved husband, father, friend, and more. For years, Brian volunteered at CHAMP Assistance Dogs because he loved their mission and we host this 5K in his memory to raise funds for his favorite charity. The 5K will be both virtual and in-person. The in-person option is scheduled for Sunday, March 2nd 2025 (rain or shine) at 10:00 am at the Tremayne Shelter in Sailboat Cove at Creve Coeur Lake Park 13725 Marine Avenue St. Louis MO 63043. Our 5K is inclusive: you can participate HOW you want, WHEN you want. At our inaugural event, we had people: roll, run, walk, jog, dance, ice skate, and swim. All proceeds benefit CHAMP. Dogs on leads are welcome!
