With water and aid stations strategically placed along the route, runners can stay hydrated and energized. After crossing the finish line at the Cayucos Pier, enjoy a complimentary post-event breakfast at Morro Rock, where awards will also be presented. Please note that due to limited parking in Cayucos, participants are encouraged to take advantage of the provided bus transportation back to Morro Bay. Organiser's Description

The 2025 Brian Waterbury Memorial Rock to Pier Fun Run and Rockn Around the Pier Half Marathon will take place on Saturday, July 12 with a 7:00 am start time. 2025 marks the 55th running of the Rock to Pier Run and the 11th running of the Half Marathon.

The Brian Waterbury Memorial Rock to Pier Fun Run is a 6 mile beach run from Morro Rock to the Cayucos Pier. The finish line is at the iconic Cayucos Pier. This event is open to participants of all ages and abilities.

The Rockn Around the Pier Half Marathon event begins at Morro Rock, continues to the Cayucos Pier, turn around and head back towards Morro Rock. At 10.5 miles the course will veer off the beach (through soft sand) and will follow a 1 mile loop through a local park returning to the beach (through soft sand) and finish at Morro Rock. Please note that the course will be closed at 1:00pm for runners.

Parking is limited in Cayucos and all participants for the Rock to Pier Run are encouraged to return to Morro Bay via provided Bus transportation. There is plenty of parking at Morro Rock and nearby. Arrive early.

LIMITED SHIRT SIZES ARE STILL AVAILABLE WHILE SUPPLIES LAST. SOME SIZES ARE SOLD OUT.

Both Events will begin at 7:00am

Water/Aide stations are available - 3 for Rock to Pier

Transportation is provided from the Cayucos Pier back to the start at Morro Rock where a post event breakfast will be held. Awards will be at Morro Rock.

This event is held on the beach--you will get wet. Dogs are not allowed on the course due to the Snowy Plover nesting season.
