Get ready for a thrilling day of fun and fitness at the inaugural BridgeWay 5K - Run/Walk on Saturday, May 17, 2025, in Simpsonville, Greenville! This exciting family-friendly event will take participants across the stunning Mauldin Gateway Bridge and along a scenic stretch of the future Swamp Rabbit Trail. Runners will enjoy an invigorating course that winds around Mauldin High School before crossing back over the bridge to the finish line at Bridgeway Station.

The day kicks off with packet pickup at 9:00 AM, followed by the 5K race starting at 10:00 AM, and a 1-mile fun run at 10:10 AM. Not only will you have the chance to compete for awards in various age categories, but youโ€™ll also be supporting a great cause, as all proceeds from the fun run benefit Camp Worthy, a youth camp dedicated to empowering young girls. Plus, after crossing the finish line, participants aged 21 and over can enjoy a complimentary beer from Bridgeway Brewing Co. Come join us for a day of community, fitness, and funโ€”bring your family and even your leashed furry friends!

JOIN THE CITY OF MAULDIN AND BRIDGEWAY STATION AT THE INAUGURAL BRIDGEWAY 5K! THIS FAMILY-FRIENDLY EVENT WILL TAKE YOU ACROSS THE MAULDIN GATEWAY BRIDGE AND DOWN A PORTION OF THE FUTURE SWAMP RABBIT TRAIL. THE ROUTE CONTINUES AS IT CROSSES BUTLER ROAD AND WINDS AROUND MAULDIN HIGH SCHOOL BRINGING YOU BACK OVER THE BRIDGE BEFORE YOU CROSS THE FINISH LINE AT BRIDGEWAY STATION!

THE 1-MILE FUN RUN WILL BEGIN AFTER THE 5K KICKS OFF. ALL PROCEEDS FROM THE FUN RUN WILL BENEFIT CAMP WORTHY, A YOUTH CAMP CREATED BY MAULDIN POLICE OFFICER CLAUDIA BONDS. THE MISSION OF CAMP WORTHY IS TO REACH YOUNG GIRLS PRIOR TO ENTERING THE ADULT WORLD BY ENSURING THEY KNOW THEIR WORTH AND IDENTITY IN AN UPLIFTING, SUPPORTIVE MANNER.

THIS EVENT IS FAMILY-FRIENDLY, INCLUDING OUR 4-LEGGED FAMILY MEMBERS (ON LEASH)*. AFTER THE EVENT CONCLUDES, SPEND THE DAY AT BRIDGEWAY STATION AND ENJOY 1 FREE BEER FROM BRIDGEWAY BREWING CO, OUR OFFICIAL BEER SPONSOR (_MUST BE 21+ TO CONSUME, VALID FOR 5K PARTICIPANTS ONLY_)!

THE RUN COURSE WILL START AND FINISH AT BRIDGEWAY STATION BY COVERING A SHORT OUT AND BACK WITHIN THE BRIDGEWAY FACILITY BEFORE HEADING OUT OVER THE BRIDGE THAT CARRIES RUNNERS OVER 385 OUT TO BUTLER ROAD. FROM THERE RUNNERS WILL RUN AROUND MAULDIN HIGH SCHOOL BEFORE COMING UP CORN. RD. AND BACK ONTO BUTLER BEFORE CROSSING BACK OVER THE BRIDGE AND INTO THE FINISH LINE RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE OPEN AMPHITHEATER AND STAGE OF THE BRIDGEWAY STATION.

THE 1 MILE RUN WILL START AND FINISH IN FRONT OF THE BRIDGEWAY STATION AND HEAD OVER THE BRIDGE TOWARD BUTLER ROAD. THE TURN AROUND WILL BE JUST SHORT OF THE END OF THE PEDESTRIAN PATH. WE WILL PLACE A TURNAROUND SIGN FOR THE 1 MILE RUNNERS AT THIS POINT.
