Join us for the 16th Annual Brooklyn PTA Fun Run for Schools on Saturday, October 26, 2024, in the beautiful Prospect Park, Brooklyn, Kings! Kicking off at 10 AM, this exciting event features a family-friendly 3.3-mile run/walk/stroll/toddle/scoot that welcomes participants of all ages and abilities. Whether you're a seasoned runner, a casual walker, or a family with strollers and scooters, everyone is invited to be part of this vibrant community gathering.
Bib pickup and pre-race festivities will start at 9 AM inside the LeFrak Center, setting the stage for a day filled with fun and camaraderie. The event not only promotes health and wellness but also supports our local public schools, with net proceeds directly benefiting the neediest schools in the area. So, gather your friends, register with your school team, and come out to celebrate the strength of our community while making a positive impact on education. We can't wait to see you there!

Council Member Shahana Hanif and the PTAs of Brooklyns public schools are coming together for the 16th annual PTA 5K+ run/walk/stroll/toddle/scoot in Prospect Park. The race will take place on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 10 AM. Bib pickup and pre-race activities will begin at 9:00 AM.
For over a decade now, the PTA Fun Run has demonstrated the tremendous strength of our local public school communities. Parents, students, and educators have turned out in droves to show what it means to build community and work together on critical issues facing our public schools. Net proceeds from your registration fee will go to our neediest schools.
The Fun Run will be a 3.3 mile loop, starting and finishing on the main park drive just outside the LeFrak Center. The run will start at 10 AM. Bib distribution and pre-race activities will begin inside the LeFrak Center starting at 9 AM. As a fun run, we welcome everyone-- young, old, experienced and not, runners, walkers, strollers, tricycles, scooters, wheelchairs-- all are invited to join!

CLOSEDThe Fun Run will be held rain or shine, except in the case of hazardous conditions such as lightning. Registration pricing is as follows: Single adult: $25 + processing fee Other adults in a group or family: $15 ($10 discount) All children under 18: $5 *Parents please register yourself/adults first, then children. This pricing attempts to balance maximizing fundraising with affordability. However, price should not be a roadblock for any person wishing to participate.
