On Saturday, September 19, 2026, the North Royalton Family Y will host its NINTH ANNUAL BUBBLE BLAST KATHLEEN DEPIERO MEMORIAL 5K! Proceeds from the event will benefit the Ys Annual Campaign, granting area youth and families the opportunity to access Y programs and services, such as Swim Lessons, Youth Sports Leagues, and Before and After School Childcare they otherwise could not afford. THE RACE IS DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF KATHLEEN DEPIERO, a former board member who is credited with the inception of the event in 2016, and was a tremendous advocate for youth and families in our community.
Since the inception of the race, the North Royalton Y supported over $200,000 in scholarships for membership and programs. The Y continues its commitment to strengthening the foundation of the community through programs that promote youth development, social responsibility, and healthy living, all of which would not be possible without the support of our community partners.
