This no-drop race encourages runners of all paces to join in the fun, as there is no time limit or cutoff for completion. Medals will be awarded to all finishers, so be sure to register by October 16 to secure yours! While the race will not have aid stations, participants can plan for self-support or bring cash for local gas stations and grocery stores along the route. Plus, with local friends available to assist in case of any emergencies, you can run with peace of mind. Organiser's Description
Heavily inspired by AAC's Costco Marathon, this is a beginners 50k will have runners running to each of the warehouse stores we have in Lincoln, North/South Sam's and Costco. Register by 10/16 to guarantee you will receive a medal!
Start is at Costco at 7 AM and here is the planned route [https://www.strava.com/routes/3347618074906660626].
There will be no aid, water or gel stations. Plan to be self-supported or bring cash/card for gas station and grocery stores. We will have some local friends available to pick people up if someone gets injured or needs to drop.
You are free to run whatever pace you would like; however, the main group will be no-drop and medals will be awarded after the main group arrives back at Costco. There is no time limit nor cutoff, we will be utilizing public sidewalks and trails.
