This exciting event takes place on Saturday, November 7th, 2026, at the stunning Island Lake State Recreation Area in Brighton, Michigan. The Bunyan Battle 5K promises a thrilling atmosphere as it coincides with the much-anticipated football rivalry between Michigan and Michigan State later that day.
Participants will enjoy a picturesque out-and-back course that showcases the vibrant fall colors on a completely paved track, making it perfect for runners and walkers of all fitness levels. Registration includes a stopwatch chip-timed race with live results, a custom dri-fit race shirt (with an option to upgrade to a tank top), a commemorative race bib, and a custom finisher medal. Plus, there will be overall and age group awards, free race photos, and post-race refreshments to celebrate your accomplishment.
