Join us for the first ever BUZZ, SWEAT&TEARS 5K; the inaugural Fort Mill High School Cross Country Team 5K Fundraiser! This back to school fundraiser offers a fun and exciting event designed to bring our community together in support of a team boasting over 150 athletes between Gold Hill Middle, Pleasant Knoll Middle, Banks Trail Middle and Fort Mill High School! The Buzz Sweat&Tears 5K Fundraiser event is perfect for participants of all ages and fitness levels; walkers are welcome.
The FMXC program provides a positive training environment with a reputation of success in personal athletic growth as well as championship titles. Financial accessibility is key to ensuring that all students who are interested in participating can. Fundraising enables us to avoid imposing mandatory fees for participants, keeping the program accessible to all!
The event will directly benefit the Fort Mill High School Cross Country Team and help to cover costs associated with expenses that include, but are not limited to, uniforms, travel fees, race registration fees, water coolers, sun shelters, race timing, course markings, first-aid items, and many other needs which ensure a safe and positive experience!
DATE: Saturday August 17, 2024START TIME: 8:00 AM (Check In 6:45 AM - 7:45 AM)LOCATION: Fort Mill High School at Bob Jones StadiumDISTANCE: 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) / Kids Run (.5 mi)COURSE: The course will be mostly paved, winding through the Fort Mill High School Campus.
We love our four legged friends, but please leave them home for the race!Strollers are only permitted for registered event walkers, not for runners The event will be photographed by Larry Mull, and he will offer race photos for viewing&purchase on his website https://www.larrymullphoto.com/ Knowledge Perk Coffee, Maui Acai and Pelicans will be on site to fuel and refuel you and your supporters, each donating back a percentage of the days sales to support the FMXC team!
REGISTRATION:
Early Bird Registration: $30 (Until July 20)
Regular Registration: $35 (July 21 - August 5)
*Late Registration: $40 (August 6 - August 16)
*Race Day Registration: $45 (August 17)
Fun Run Half Mile 10&Under: $5 *Commemorative t-shirts by size will be guaranteed to all those who register for the 5K walk or run by August 5th
AWARDS:Top 3 Overall Male and Female FinishersTop 3 Finishers in Each Age Group (Male and Female - 11-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60+)
