Get ready for a thrilling day of community spirit and athleticism at the 2nd Annual Buzz, Sweat & Tears 5K on Saturday, October 25, 2025! Taking place at the scenic Fort Mill High School, this Halloween-themed fundraiser is a perfect way to support the Fort Mill High School Cross Country Team, which proudly includes over 100 athletes from Gold Hill Middle, Pleasant Knoll Middle, Banks Trail Middle, and Fort Mill High School.
Starting at 3:30 PM, participants will have the chance to tackle the 5-kilometer course, which winds through the beautiful Fort Mill High School campus, or join the fun with the .5-mile Kids Run designed for children aged 10 and under. This event is family-friendly and welcomes participants of all fitness levels—walkers are encouraged to join, but please leave your pets at home!
In addition to the run, attendees can enjoy local vendors, food trucks, a costume contest, and various activities for kids, including a trunk or treat. Early bird registration is available for just $30 until August 15, with opportunities to register up until race day. Join us for the 2nd Annual BUZZ, SWEAT & TEARS 5K SUPPOTING THE FORT MILL HIGH SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY TEAM! This festive Halloween Themed fundraiser offers a fun and exciting event designed to bring our community together in support of a team boasting over 100 athletes between Gold Hill Middle, Pleasant Knoll Middle, Banks Trail Middle and Fort Mill High School! The Buzz Sweat & Tears 5K Fundraiser event is perfect for participants of all ages and fitness levels; walkers are welcome, but please leave your furry friends at home.
The FMXC program provides a positive training environment with a reputation of success in personal athletic growth as well as championship titles. Fundraising enables us to avoid imposing mandatory fees for participants, keeping the program accessible to all; and helping to cover costs associated with expenses that ensure a safe, inclusive and positive experience (expenses include, but are not limited to, uniforms, travel fees, race registration fees, water coolers, sun shelters) !
