Join us for the exhilarating Cambridge Thanksgiving Turkey Trot 5K on Thursday, November 28, 2024, in the charming town of Cambridge, Washington! This annual event promises a fantastic morning filled with community spirit, fitness, and fun as participants tackle a scenic 5K course that begins at the historic Coila Church on State Route 372. Runners will enjoy a picturesque route through Old Coila Road, downtown Cambridge, and past the iconic old Cambridge Hotel, before returning to the finish line at The Coila Church.
This year, all registration profits will support the Cambridge Fuel Fund, ensuring that our community members stay warm during the winter months. Plus, participants are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to donate to the Cambridge Food Pantry. With race day snacks, beverages, and exciting finisher goodies awaiting you, along with opportunities for packet pickup on the evening before or the morning of the race, it's an event you won’t want to miss! Whether you're a seasoned runner or a first-timer, the Cambridge Thanksgiving Turkey Trot is the perfect way to kick off the holiday season with family and friends while giving back to those in need.

Organiser's Description
Join us on Thanksgiving morning for the THIRD ANNUAL Cambridge Thanksgiving Turkey Trot 5k. This will be a morning of fun, community fellowship, and exercise! This fast and scenic course will start at the old brick Coila Church on State Route 372 complete with its new addition and increased parking capacity, and head towards the village of Cambridge. You will get to run along Old Coila Road, through portions of downtown, and by the old Cambridge Hotel before heading back down main street and finishing at The Coila Church, where snacks and beverages will be handed out as you finish, along with finish photos and finisher goodies! Course maps will be provided at check-in, route will be clearly marked and controlled by law enforcement to ensure safety.
Over the last 2 years, we have been proud to put 100% of registration profit towards the Cambridge Food Pantry and the CVRS (Cambridge Valley Rescue Squad)! This year, we will be utilizing all funds to support the Cambridge Fuel Fund. We are excited to provide this essential service to members of our community, particularly right before winter. Race T-Shirts will be available for purchase for participants who enroll prior to November 6. Please consider bringing cans, pantry items, and non-perishable foods to the race to donate to the food pantry, bins will be available for contributed items.
Two opportunities for packet pickup will be provided, first on the evening before the race (Wednesday, Nov 27, from 4-5pm) and second on the morning of the race (Thursday, Nov 28) from 7:00-8:00. We highly encourage participants to use the Wednesday evening option to relieve the crowds Thursday morning. Any participant not checked in by 8:10 will be considered a "no-show" and refunds will not be issued. Family members may complete packet pickup/registration for their immediate family members. While we may have limited day-of registration available, we ask that you register as far in advance as possible to assist the event go smoothly.
