Organiser's Description
The Cape Split Schoolhouse, a community center in South Addison, ME, is sponsoring a 6.5M run and a 3.0M fun run/walk. The race mission is to get people outside and moving and raise money for a local charity. We are raising money for Women for Healthy Rural Living (WHRL) in Milbridge, ME. WHRL focuses on human wholeness, addressing not only physical wellness but also emotional and social health. Both WHRL and the Cape Split Schoolhouse are 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations. OPENS 19 JUNLike the Downeast Maine coast, this race route has nooks & crannies, twists & turns, and varied terrain. You'll be so close to the water at times, you will want to bring your fishing pole. Run by Pleasant Bay, Eastern Harbor, Marsh Harbor, and Merritt Cove. Of the 6.5M, about 5.0M will be on paved road or groomed gravel road. About 1.5M will be on grass or single-track trails. Special thanks to many of our neighbors who have allowed the race to run through their beautiful properties. -
