From July 13th to July 27th, 2025, this vibrant event invites kids aged 2-14 of all abilities to participate in a three-week running series designed to inspire and empower young runners. Each Sunday, children can tackle age-appropriate distances including the 50 and 100-yard dashes, as well as 1/4-mile, 1/2-mile, and 1-mile runs. Newcomers can opt for the alternate 1/4-mile race, making it the perfect introduction to running.
The Cardio Kidz program not only promotes physical fitness but also focuses on building social-emotional skills, encouraging participants to embrace the spirit of being courageous. With a strong emphasis on personal growth, the series tracks weekly progress to foster goal setting and boost self-confidence. For just $35, each runner will receive three races, race bibs, a goal tracker sheet, a weekly progress report, and a finisher medal. Cardio Kidz is BACK this SUMMER IN ARLINGTON HEIGHTS! LAST SUMMER WE SPREAD THE MISSION TO 107 RUNNERS, HELP US GROW! Join us for a three (3) WEEK RUNNING SERIES FOR KIDS AGES 2-14 OF ALL ABILITIES. Each race takes place once a week on Sunday and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 100-yard dashes, 1/4-mile, 1/2-mile and 1-mile run. Kids can register to run UP in distance for a greater challenge. An ALTERNATE 1/4-MILE race is available and a great option for kids new to running. Designed for 2nd-8th graders who may not quite be ready to run their suggested grade distance. And that's OK! We hope they will give it a try and will encourage them every step of the way!
