Join us for the exciting Carrboro 5K/10K taking place on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026, in the vibrant community of Chapel Hill, Orange! This year, we're thrilled to continue the success of last year's event by offering both the 5K and 10K races, promising a fun-filled day for runners of all levels. The 5K, a scenic 3.1-mile course, and the 10K, a challenging 6.2-mile route, both commence at 8 a.m. from McDougle Middle School. Participants will enjoy winding through the charming neighborhoods of Carrboro before finishing strong on the McDougle track.
As part of the Le Tour de Carrboro, a three-race series benefiting local charities, you'll have the chance to make a difference while enjoying a fantastic day of running! Please note that the 5K is limited to 250 participants, so be sure to register early to secure your spot. With registration fees at just $35 for either race, it's an unbeatable deal in the Triangle area. LAST YEAR WE ADDED THE 5K ALONG WITH THE 10K RACE AND IT WAS A BIG SUCCESS SO WE WILL CONTINUE WITH THE TWO RACES THIS YEAR. IF YOU ARE SIGNING UP FOR THE LE TOUR DE CARRBORO A THREE RACE SERIES BENEFITING CARRBORO AREA CHARITIES, YOU WILL NEED TO CHOOSE TO DO EITHER THE 5K OR THE 10K AS PART OF THE SERIES. THE CARRBORO 10K IS 6.2 MILES, THE CARRBORO 5K IS 3.1 MILES. BOTH RACES START AT 8 A.M. AT MCDOUGLE MIDDLE SCHOOL, WIND THROUGH CARRBORO NEIGHBORHOODS, AND FINISH ON THE MCDOUGLE TRACK. NOTE: THE 5K RACE IS CAPPED AT 250 PARTICIPANTS SO REGISTER EARLY!
