Dear Coach:

The Catholic High Cross Country Team would like to invite you to participate in the 26th Annual Sargent Memorial Invitational Cross Country Meet on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the Pepperplex in New Iberia (611 Sucrose Drive). The races are run on a grass course with some trail running and some hill running. We ask that if you have runners who are not prepared for 3 mile races or cannot finish in roughly 30 minutes, then please place them in the JV race so that we do not fall behind schedule.

T-shirts will be given to the top 10 finishers in the varsity races, and top 5 finishers in the JV race. In the Varsity Races, B Squads will be allowed, but not C squads. For JV runners, there will be a single 2-mile open race for both boys and girls with unlimited entries. Coaches please be prepared to time your kids for this race. All VARSITY runners must meet LHSAA eligibility requirements. No ineligible high school athletes will be allowed to run. The schedule will be as follows:

7:30 Packet Pick Up

8:00 Varsity Girls 3 miles

8:40 Varsity Boys 3 miles

9:20 JV/Open division boys and girls 2 miles

Sargent MIDDLE SCHOOL RACES HOSTED BY MS CHRISTIAN LEAGUE

8:00 Packet Pick ups

10:00 Jr. High Girls (8th grade max) 2 miles

10:30 Jr. High Boys (8th grade max) 2 miles

11:10 Awards

The entry fee is $10.00 per individual runner, and $50.00 per team. ($50 for girls, $50 for boys). A maximum of $100.00 is paid for schools with boys and girls. Junior high teams (not already on a high school campus) are considered as separate teams for paying. If possible please mail checks prior to meet day. Please return your reply (by fax or mail) to the attention of Andrea Broussard at Catholic High School as soon as possible, if you will attend or not, so we can have an idea of how many runners / schools to expect at the meet. This year we will have Pelican Timing Services for our race. We would like you to input your team on la.milesplit by 10 pm on Wednesday Sept. 10, 2025. NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION! Any runner not registered must run in the JV race. The JV/Open race will not be timed by our timing company.

We will also charge $5.00 parking per car to help with timing fee. Buses and coaches with LHSAA card get in free.
