Charge! Teddy's 5K is a race to find a cure for STXBP1 Disorder.
STXBP1 is a rare genetic neurological disorder that can cause epilepsy and severe developmental delays. Incredible hope for a cure is on the horizon with groundbreaking research currently underway at several hospitals and pharmaceutical companies. As a 501(c)(3) created in honor of STXBP1 thriver Teddy Taylor, funds raised by Teddys Rough Riders will be directed toward the cure, research, and support of STXBP1 and those impacted by it.
The race will start and finish at Audubon Park in Garland, TX. November 1st is the Saturday after Halloween - so everyone is encouraged to wear their costumes if they would like! We will have an exciting prize for the best costume that will be presented after the race. Runners of all ages are encouraged to participate.
Packets can be picked up the morning of the race starting at 8 AM.

OPENS 26 SEPThe race will start and finish in Audubon Park near the Oates Rd Bridge on the NE side of the park. The course will run out and back along Duck Creek Trail. The turnaround point is at a parking lot - volunteers will be stationed there to help direct the runners. We are very excited to have the Frisco Rough Riders as a supporter this year - they have donated a certificate for 10 tickets to any home game of the Rough Riders 2025 season, which will be the winning prize for our costume contest! -

OPENS 26 SEPIf you can't attend Teddy's 5K in person but would still like to participate, we are offering a virtual option this year! Feel free to run or walk on whatever route is most convenient for you any time from 8 AM Central Time to 8 PM Central Time on October 26th, 2024 and post your results here. We'll ship your race packet straight to you.
