This exciting event kicks off at 9:00 AM at Cheadle Lake Park, featuring a scenic 5K and 10K route that winds along newly completed paths to River Park and back. Participants will enjoy a diverse terrain of concrete, asphalt, gravel, and dirt, making for a thrilling run or walk amidst nature.
For our younger participants, the Kids Obstacle Dash offers a fun-filled 1/2 mile course for kids aged 10 and under, packed with over 20 exciting obstacles such as the gunny sack race, balance beam, and pool noodle slalom. Plus, the first 200 kids can register for FREE with coupon code DASH, and parents are welcome to assist their little ones. The 16th annual running of the Cheadle Lake 5K/10K Fun Run/Walk and Kids Obstacle Dash will once again be hosted by Build Lebanon Trails on Saturday, May 3, 2025. The 5K/10K Fun Run and Walk begins at Cheadle Lake Park and follows newly completed paths, north to River Park where it loops back to Cheadle Lake Park. The route surfaces for the Run/Walk are a mix of concrete, asphalt, gravel and dirt paths.
The Kids Obstacle Dash is a 1/2 mile course for kids 10 and under. More than 20 obstacles include the gunny sack race, a balance beam, the pool noodle slalom, and much more. Participants will encounter a wide variety of over 20, easy to conquer obstacles set up in an oval with the start and finish lines near each other. Free registration for the first 200 kids! Cheadle Lake 10K Run & Walk

The race course starts at Cheadle Lake Park on the south side of the lake. The 10K and 5K routes head out of the park using the paved North Shore Trail with the lake on one side of the trail and the Santiam Canal on the other. The route follows the lake shore until crossing three walk bridges on the way to Riverview Park. In Riverview Park the 5K turns around. The 10K course dips toward the river on a gravel trail for close to one mile. The gravel transitions to concrete on the Old Mill Trail (OMT). The route passes through Gill's Landing Park following the South Santiam River and enters River Park onto an asphalt trail. The course circles River Park and returns to Gills Landing and then Riverview Park using the Old Mill Trail. From Riverview Park the course follows the North Shore Trail back with an added short loop around the first island before returning to Cheadle Lake Park and the Start/Finish Line. -
