Organiser's Description
Bloomsday Road Runners Club's (BRRC) is proud to announce the return of the BRRC CHILLY CHILI 5K. The BRRC Chilly Chili 5k will be held at the Spokane County Moran Prairie Grange in 2026. Whether you run, walk or take refuge in the Grange, we will reward you for your efforts by HOSTING A CHILI COMPETITION, AN AWARDS CEREMONY AND MUSIC. As BRRC has always done, we will have a gun start with a chip timed finish. The starting line will be in the parking lot of the Moran Prairie Grange, turning right onto 61st Ave heading west. Then turn left at S. Freya St. heading South to 65th Ave where you will turn right heading West on 65th until you get to get to S. Regal Rd at which time you will turn Left heading South. You will run down a hill and then back up a hill to the turn around at the top of the hill where there will be a water station, make the turn around and run the same course back to the finish at the Grange. IN THE GRANGE YOU WILL HAVE THE COMFORT OF A HEATED FACILITY, CHILI AND HOT/COLD DRINKS DURING THE AWARDS PRESENTATION.

Awards will be given to 1st place Male and Female. Age group awards (1st, 2nd and 3rd place) will be given to Male & Female participants in the following age groups: 0-7, 8-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80+. Race will be held rain, snow, or shine and will not be cancelled except for cases of severe weather or unsafe road/course conditions. Due to unpredictable weather situations, be sure to bring traction devices in the event the roads are icy or have snow. The BRRC is a nonprofit organization and all net proceeds are used to further the BRRC's mission in the community and local High Schools. As such, no refunds or credits will be given in case of cancellation due to weather. After the race, there will be an Awards presentation for the Cross Country Team Awards, 5K Chilly Chili Race Awards and Chili Competition Cook-Off. Delicious Cinnamon Rolls and Hot Drinks will be provided along with the Chili. -
Chili Competition Cook-Off and Awards Ceremony

If running or walking is not for you in the bitter cold of January, BRRC will be hosting in addition to the race, a Party that includes a Chili Competition Cook-off, Awards and Music by DJ Marathon. While you enjoy your chili and drinks, sit back and watch the awards program featuring Chili Competition, Cross Country Team Awards and 5K Race Awards. Delicious Cinnamon Rolls and Hot Drinks will be provided along with the Chili.
