This unique event kicks off at the Northern Central Railway station, where registration opens at 8:45 AM. Make sure to arrive by 9:30 AM to secure your spot, as the train departs promptly at 10:00 AM.
Participants will enjoy a scenic train ride, with stops for the 1 mile runners and fun walkers, as well as the 3.1 mile racers. After the thrilling race, everyone will make their way back to the finish line at the train station, where trophies will be awarded for the top three runners in each category. Plus, don’t miss out on the exciting raffle supporting the Northern Central Railway and First Fruit, featuring fantastic prizes from local businesses. Bring your extra $20 for raffle tickets and join us at Vortex Brewing Company for the draw after the awards ceremony. Don’t miss this family-friendly event filled with fun, fitness, and community spirit!

RACE DAY UPDATE!
A few Day of notes for the Chilly Dog 5K race and I mile runners and walkers!
Registration takes place at the Northern Central Railway station, 117 N. Front St. New Freedom Pa. 17349 and opens at 8:45. please arrive no later than 9:30 for registration, the train will leave promptly at 10:00am. Please note, after you register you may sit on the train and stay warm. Bathrooms are open inside the train station.
Then enjoy a train ride North with stops at 1 mile for 10 and under runners and fun walkers, then at 3.1 miles for racers. All head back on foot to New Freedom finish line at the train station.
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies will be awarded after the race for runners only, with a start time of 11:30am.
There is street parking and some lot parking around the train station, arrive early to allow for walking distance to registration.
We are having a great raffle supporting the Northern Central Railway and First Fruit, with wonderful prizes donated by the Rail Trail Merchants Network! So bing an extra 20.00 for your 5 tickets.
If you plan to win one of our great raffle prizes plan on joining us at Vortex Brewing Company for raffle draw after the trophy awards!
