Claire's Promise, Inc. was created to honor the beautiful life of Claire Zeller, whose time with us was tragically cut short by a drunk and impaired driver. Born from love, grief, and the desire to protect others, Claires Promise, Inc. carries forward the light she brought into the world. Our mission is to keep Claires spirit alive by educating communities about the dangers of impaired driving, inspiring safe and mindful choices, supporting families who have suffered similar losses, and working every day to create a safer, kinder future. Claires Promise is a reminder that one choice can change everything.
The Claires Promise 5K will be held on May 9, 2026 at Lutcher Park, Lutcher, LA and will bring together families, runners, walkers, community leaders, and supporters who want to stand against drunk/impaired driving and carry forward Claires legacy of love. In addition to event costs, expanding community outreach, and providing materials to raise awareness about impaired driving, in keeping with Claire's spirit of compassion and love for animals, a portion of the proceeds will also benefit St. James Parish Bridge to Bridge Animal Rescue.
