Join us for an exhilarating day at the College of Applied & Natural Sciences: Run for Research on Saturday, October 24th, 2026, in Ruston, Lincoln! This exciting event features a scenic 5K Run/Walk that takes participants through and around the beautiful Louisiana Tech campus. Kick off your day with packet pickup and race day registration starting at 7:00 AM, with the 5K race officially beginning at 8:00 AM.
Not only will you have the chance to challenge yourself on the course, but you can also celebrate your achievements with awards for the top finishers in various age groups. Every participant will receive a finisher medal, so everyone walks away a winner! After the race, take some time to connect with student organizations and discover more about the academic programs, research, and community projects happening at the college. RACE DAY SCHEDULE
7:00AM- Packet pickup and race day registration opens
7:45 AM- Packet pickup and race day registration closes
8:00 AM- 5K Run/Walk begin with awards to follow

AWARDS

Age group awards for the 5k:
* 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be awarded for overall male and female
* Male & female 1st place in age groups will be awarded as follows: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49,50-59, 60-69, 70+.
