The Fun Run kicks off at 8:30 AM, followed by the 5K race at 9:00 AM. Participants can enter the "Fastest Paws Contest" for a chance to win prizes, and there’s also a "Best Pet Costume" contest to showcase your pet’s creativity. With awards for the top three finishers in each age and gender group, and all runners receiving a finisher's medal, this event promises to be both competitive and enjoyable. Plus, your participation supports local students through the Refuge Community Center's afterschool and summer camp programs. Lace up your running shoes and get ready to hit the pavement on Saturday April 5, 2025, for the 2nd Annual Collinsville Hills 5K & Fun Run.
The Collinsville Hills 5K and Fun Run is a fundraising event hosted by Collinsville Chamber of Commerce and Refuge Community Center and is being held in conjunction with the Collinsville Founders Day Celebration. The course will run through the downtown Collinsville area. This exciting event is part of the Collinsville Founders Day Celebration and will take place in downtown Collinsville at 113 S. 11th Street.
The Fun Run will begin at 8:30am. We invite you to bring your dog to run with you in the Fun Run! Any runner who brings their dog to run with them in the Fun Run can choose to be entered into a "Fastest Paws Contest". The fastest runner with a running dog gets a 1st place prize!
The 5K will begin at 9:00am. There will be 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place prizes per age/gender group. Dogs are welcome to run in the 5K also (no pet contest in the 5K).
We will also have a "Best Pet Costume" contest for all runners with running dogs with 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place prizes.
Partial proceeds will go to Refuge Community Center to support their afterschool and summer camp programs for local students.
