Get ready for a vibrant day of fun and community spirit at the Color Fun 1 Mile Walk & 5K Fun Run, hosted by Fostering Family Ministries! On Saturday, May 17th, 2025, join us at Freer Field, located at 1264 Center Street in Ashland, OH, for an exhilarating event that celebrates Foster Care Appreciation Month. Check-in begins at 8:30 AM, with the fun run and walk starting at 9:30 AM. Make sure to arrive early for our exciting Color Throw Photo & Recognition at 9:15 AM!
This family-friendly event invites everyone to participate in either the 1-mile walk or the 5K fun run, where you’ll be showered with colorful powder at various stations along the route. Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome, making this a truly inclusive experience. Not only will you enjoy a day filled with laughter and color, but you'll also be supporting a great cause. All proceeds will aid Fostering Family Ministries in their mission to assist vulnerable children and families across North Central Ohio. Plus, thanks to a generous donor, every dollar raised will be matched up to $35,000! Join us in making a difference and help us

In honor of Foster Care Appreciation Month, on May 17th Fostering Family Ministries is hosting a Color Fun 1 mile Walk & 5K Fun Run at Freer Field 1264 Center Street Ashland, OH 44805
8:30am check in for all | 9:30am start for Run and Walk
Group Color Throw Photo & Recognition at 9:15am
Everyone is invited to participate in the Color Fun 1 mile walk or 5K fun run at Freer Field 1264 Center Street Ashland, OH 44805.
Your white shirt will best show off the colorful powder thrown from the color stations along the route. Strollers & wheelchairs are welcome. As we celebrate children and families in foster care, we will be raising donations to support the work of Fostering Family Ministries to serve vulnerable children and families. A generous donor has provided a matching challenge up to $35,000. Help us meet this goal and double every dollar!
Over the past 9 years we have seen an incredible increase in the number of supported foster families who have helped the community keep pace with the needs of children in foster care. Churches & communities are stepping up to provide support to foster and kinship families. Our partnerships reach Ashland, Richland, Knox, Medina, Huron, Wayne, and more counties allowing us to support children in your community.
