The race will kick off at 9:00 AM, following an inspiring opening ceremony at 8:45 AM. Participants will gather at the S. Maple Street starting line, right in front of the Pulaski County Attorneys Office.

The Connect Community Village is a remarkable initiative aimed at supporting veterans as they transition to civilian life. This 20-acre community features 25 tiny houses, offering vocational job training, animal therapy, and peer support programs. With a registration fee of just $20, runners and walkers can contribute to this noble cause while enjoying a day filled with community spirit. Organiser's Description

Connect Community Village/Bluegrass Veterans Ranch is a 20 acre, 25 tiny house community designed for veterans who are struggle to adapt to a life outside of their military environment. It will offer opportunities for skilled vocational job training, animal therapy, working ranch environment, and veteran peer supported programs and resources. This transitional community is designed to assist our veterans with the necessary life skills that will lead to a more purposeful and productive life within their civilian community.

Connect Community Villages is honored to be a part of the 2024 Lake Cumberland Walk/Run Series 5K Race. This race is dedicated to our Veterans near and far for their loyalty and service to our great nation .

REGISTRATION - will be at the Pulaski County Judicial Center Courtyard, followed by awards.

START/FINISH LINE - will begin at S. Maple Street / Off E. Mount Vernon St. In front of the Pulaski County Attorneys Office

PARKING - Use the parking lot behind Commerical Printing and beside the Pulaski County Judicial Center.

    This is a Competitive Walk. By choosing the Walk, you are signing up in the Walk Division. You are eligible for Top 3 Overall Male & Female Competitive Walking Awards. Walking is defined as having one foot on the ground AT ALL TIMES. You may NOT spring, run, jog, and/or trot any portion of the course. To do so, even for one step, even if this is your first race, even if he or she "is only a kid" would be considered cheating and would be subject to disqualification. Please be fair to other Walkers.
