The race begins at 8:00 AM with an opening ceremony at 7:45 AM, making it a perfect opportunity to come together as a community and honor those who have sacrificed so much.

The Connect Community Village is a unique 20-acre tiny house community designed to support veterans transitioning to civilian life, offering vital resources like vocational training and animal therapy. Participants will start and finish at the S. Maple Street, just off E. Mt. Vernon Street, in front of the Pulaski County Attorney's Office. Don’t miss out on early packet pickup on July 17 at the Pulaski County Judicial Center, and remember to register by July 9 to guarantee your official race shirt! Lace up your running shoes and run with purpose, as we come together to support our heroes and promote a fulfilling life for our veterans.

CONNECT COMMUNITY VILLAGE / BLUEGRASS VETERANS RANCH IS A 20-ACRE, 25-HOME TINY HOUSE COMMUNITY CREATED TO SUPPORT VETERANS TRANSITIONING FROM MILITARY TO CIVILIAN LIFE. THIS UNIQUE COMMUNITY PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR VOCATIONAL JOB TRAINING, ANIMAL THERAPY, A WORKING RANCH ENVIRONMENT, AND PEER-SUPPORTED VETERAN PROGRAMS AND RESOURCES. OUR MISSION IS TO EQUIP VETERANS WITH ESSENTIAL LIFE SKILLS THAT LEAD TO A PURPOSEFUL, FULFILLING, AND PRODUCTIVE LIFE BEYOND THEIR SERVICE.

WE ARE HONORED TO BE PART OF THE 2026 LAKE CUMBERLAND WALK/RUN SERIES 5K RACEA SPECIAL EVENT DEDICATED TO HONORING THE LOYALTY AND SERVICE OF OUR VETERANS, BOTH NEAR AND FAR.

    This is a Competitive Walk. By choosing the Walk, you are signing up in the Walk Division. You are eligible for Top 3 Overall Male & Female Competitive Walking Awards. Walking is defined as having one foot on the ground AT ALL TIMES. You may NOT spring, run, jog, and/or trot any portion of the course. To do so, even for one step, even if this is your first race, even if he or she "is only a kid" would be considered cheating and would be subject to disqualification. Please be fair to other Walkers.
