Join us for the 23rd annual Coombs/Douglass Memorial Bay Run on Saturday, August 2, 2025, in Lower Township, Cape May. This vibrant event honors the legacies of Robert Coombs and David Douglass, featuring a certified 5-mile race and a 2-mile health run/walk that showcase the stunning scenery along the Delaware Bay. The day kicks off at 8:30 AM from the Town Bank Fire Hall, with race day registration opening at 7:00 AM. Whether you choose the 5-mile run with a maximum time limit of 75 minutes or the more leisurely 2-mile run/walk, both options promise a fun and engaging experience. Each registered participant will receive a free T-shirt while supplies last, and there are age group medals for the top three finishers, plus special awards for the first firefighter and law enforcement runner in the 5-mile event. This is the 23rd year of the consolidation of the Robert Coombs Memorial Bay Run and the David C. Douglass, Sr. Memorial Race. This years edition featured event is a certified 5-mile race as well as a 2-mile health run/walk. Both courses are scenic and are located primarily along the beautiful Delaware Bay.
Proceeds will benefit the Special Olympics of South Jersey
