Join us for the exciting Coombs/Douglass Memorial Bay Run on Saturday, August 3, 2024, in beautiful Lower Township, Cape May! This year marks the 22nd anniversary of this cherished event, honoring the memories of Robert Coombs and David Douglass. Participants can choose between a certified 5-mile run, which has a maximum time limit of 75 minutes, or a scenic 2-mile health run/walk. Both courses wind along the stunning shores of Delaware Bay, providing a picturesque backdrop for a day of fitness and community spirit.
The event kicks off at 8:30 AM, with race day registration opening at 7:00 AM at the Town Bank Fire Hall. Enjoy a fun atmosphere with a post-race breakfast included, and all participants will receive a free t-shirt while supplies last. Plus, there are medals for the top three finishers in each 5-year age group and special awards for the first firefighter and first law enforcement participant in the 5-mile run. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Special Olympics of South Jersey, making it a rewarding experience for all involved. Don’t miss out on this fantastic day of running and camaraderie!

This is the 22nd year of the consolidation of the Robert Coombs Memorial Bay Run and the David C. Douglass, Sr. Memorial Race. This years edition featured event is a certified 5-mile race as well as a 2-mile health run/walk. Both courses are scenic and are located primarily along the beautiful Delaware Bay.
Proceeds will benefit the Special Olympics of South Jersey
