Join us for the Creighton Wellness 5K on Saturday, April 18th, from 9 AM to 11 AM, right here on Creighton's campus! All our welcome, kids as well ! This exciting event promotes health, fitness, and community spirit. Runners and walkers of all levels are welcome to participate. Enjoy the beautiful campus scenery while getting active and connecting with fellow participants. There will be refreshments and wellness resources available throughout the event. What's Included

When participants register for the Creighton Wellness 5K, they can expect a welcoming and organized experience focused on community, movement, and wellness. Participants will receive a confirmation after registering and a detailed email two weeks prior to the race with important information such as the race schedule, parking instructions, course details, and race day reminders.

On race day, participants will check in and receive their race shirt as part of their registration. The course will be clearly marked and supported by volunteers to help guide runners and walkers and create a supportive race environment.

After completing the race, all participants will receive a finisher medal to celebrate their accomplishment. Post-race refreshments will be provided, including bagels and fresh fruit, allowing participants to refuel and connect with others in the community.

At the conclusion of the event, participants will also have the opportunity to take part in a raffle featuring prizes donated by local partners and sponsors.

The Creighton Wellness 5K is designed to bring together students, faculty, staff, and community members to promote health, wellness, and connection through movement.

How to Get There

Parking

Parking is free Parking: Parking near the Old Gym is on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests may also use the top level of the 24th Street Garage (G36).

FAQs

  • What happens if it rains?

    The event will take place rain or shine unless conditions become hazardous. Any cancellations or delays will be communicated via email and social media.

  • Can I walk instead of run?

    Absolutely! Walkers are welcome and encouraged to participate at their own pace.

  • Are strollers or pets allowed on the course?

    Strollers are permitted. For safety reasons, pets are not allowed on the course.

  • Is there a bag check?

    No, there will not be a bag check available. We recommend keeping personal items with you or leaving them securely in your vehicle.

  • How do I enter the raffle?

    All participants will receive a raffle ticket at check-in. Winners will be announced between 10:15 AM and 10:30 AM following the race.

  • Are there water stations and snacks?

    Yes! There will be two water stations along the race route. At the finish line, bagels, bananas, and apples will be provided for participants to refuel.

  • Are there any course conditions participants should be aware of?

    Yes. There are a few hills along the course that participants should be prepared for. Additionally, due to sidewalk work this year, there are a few areas where the wider sidewalk sections are temporarily cut off or narrowed. Volunteers will be positioned along the route to help guide participants and ensure everyone stays on the marked course safely.
