Organiser's Description
This year, we are celebrating "Local Legends." We are offering 12 free entries to Local Legends from the Thumb and Blue Water area. We want to promote and recognize local runners who've made an impact on the running community. If you think you're a Local Legend, be sure to check your mailbox in early February for you invitation.
This year's giveaway will be hi-vis running vests to help you stay safe when running on the open roads
Runners earn prizes for first, second, and third overall (male and female categories). Under 13, 13-19, 20-39, Master (40-59), and Grandmaster (60+) runners (male and female) can earn prizes for first place in their respective age groups. The fastest dogs (male and female (runners not dogs)) will also get a prize.
Any male or female who sets a new record will receive a free entry into next year's race. Last year, the course records were not broken. The men's record is 18:40 and is held by Garrett Jurges. The female record is 21:12 and is held by Daneille Fowler, breaking her own record from the previous year.
When signing up 2 or more people, each runner will receive a $5 discount.
All proceeds from this event will benefit Aitkin Memorial District Library.
