The marathon and half marathon follow the historic D&L Trail along the Lehigh River. Participants can expect a gentle net elevation drop and surfaces of fine gravel and paved trail sections.
Scenic river views, crisp autumn air, and joint-friendly terrain make this a fast and memorable point-to-point course.

OPENS 23 FEBThe Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor's Annual Heritage Half Marathon Run from historic downtown Bethlehem to Easton, most of which is on the beautiful D+L Trail. Must be able to complete half marathon distance in 4.5 hours. Minimum age 14; under 18 requires parent or guardian permission. Field limit: 1,350 combined for all half-marathon categories. -
D&L Heritage 1/2 Marathon Walk Presented by St. Luke's

OPENS 23 FEBThe Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor's Annual Heritage Half Marathon Walk from historic downtown Bethlehem to Easton, most of which is on the beautiful D+L Trail. Select this option ONLY if you will commit to walking EVERY step of the race. No running! Please choose the run/walk category if you plan to combine walking and running -- even if you plan to run only the last stretch to the finish. (We will have race marshals on the course and will disqualify any walkers seen without at least one foot in contact with ground at all times.) Youll complete the same half marathon course at your walking pace and receive the same swag and amenities as the runners. We have set a walking time limit of 4.5 hours to minimize congestion on the trail with the marathoners coming from Allentown. And we will have a 4.5-hour pacer. However, if you need a bit more time, the course will remain open for the marathoners. Minimum age 14; under 18 requires parent or guardian permission. -

OPENS 23 FEBThe Lehigh Valley's marathon! Run a USATF-certified, Boston-qualifying course from downtown Allentown (including some miles in Little Lehigh Parkway) to Easton, much of which is on the beautiful D+L Trail. The D+L Trail follows the Lehigh River for a net downhill course with a maintained surface of fine gravel or macadam. Must be able to complete marathon distance in 6.5 hours. Minimum age 18. Field capped at 500 racers in 2026. -
St. Luke's D&L Marathon Relay

OPENS 23 FEBCreate a five-person team to tackle the marathon distance. The relay course mirrors the full marathon course: downtown Allentown to downtown Easton. Visit race.delawareandlehigh.org for leg lengths and exchange locations. (Relay teams are responsible for their own transportation to exchange points and back to the start.) Relay captains must be 18 years of age or older. Participants must be over the age of 10 to join a relay team. Field capped at 85 teams in 2026.
