Dan Robinson Memorial 5K/10K

Now in our 6th year! This is an annual event hosted by the GRANT PLAYGROUND AND RECREATION ASSOCIATION that will take place at Grant Town Park located at 401 Kidtopia Park Rd (formerly Park Road). This event is held in memory of the late Dan Robinson whose love for God and country was known by many throughout our community. Dan was instrumental in the formation of our non-profit organization and laid the groundwork for the development of Kidtopia playground. The proceeds from this event will benefit KIDTOPIA and help support its continued needs.

Our 2025 race will have a feature that everyone loves. CASH awards! That's right, if you place as follows, you will be awarded with not only a cool finisher's medal but some cold, hard cash.

1st place 5k or 10k - $300

2nd place 5k or 10k - $200

3rd place 5k or 10k - $100



THE 5K AND 10K: The 5k is a USTAF certified walk/run race and both races will begin at Grant City Park, travel through the scenic mountain town of Grant. The course is mostly flat with a few inclines, including "Cardiac Hill" at the end. Volunteers and directional signs will be strategically posted along the routes to help guide runners in the right direction. A water and first aid station will be set up near the halfway point of the 5K, which is approximately mile 3.75 of the 10K. These races will end back at Grant City Park in front of Kidtopia playground. Rehydration & nutritious snacks will be available before and after the races.



PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MUST REGISTER BY APRIL 19TH TO BE GUARANTEED A T-SHIRT!



Awards categories for the 5K and 10K are as follows:

Male and female divisions: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over.

SLEEP-IN OPTION: If you want to support our cause but simply aren't interested in racing, consider the Sleep-In Option. All sleep-in registrants will receive a race day t-shirt and enjoy the cozy comforts of your own bed on race morning. T-shirts can be collected near our registration table until 10:00 am the day of the race or will be mailed to out-of-town registrants. 1:00-5:00 PM Packet Pick-up at the main pavilion at Grant Town Park

Saturday, May 3rd Grant Town Park

6:00 to 7:15 AM Race Day Packet Pickup and Late Registration (we will be unable to provide a t-shirt to late registrants)

8:00 AM 5K and 10K Run/Walk

9:30 AM Awards Ceremony

If you're signing up multiple people for the 5k or 10k, please make sure that you take advantage of our special pricing of $20 per person for either race.

If you're a parent/guardian with more than 2 children that you'd like to sign up for the Kids' Fun Run, we are offering free participation for an additional 3 children from the same family to limit the cost per family for Fun Run participation to $20.
