The fun begins at Santa's Village, where participants can indulge in hot chocolate and tasty treats after the race.
The run kicks off at 7 PM, so make sure to arrive early and secure your parking! Registration is available until November 5, with fees set at $45 for ages 13 and up, and $35 for ages 6-12. Children aged 5 and under can join for free! Don't miss the chance to grab a limited-edition hoodie during registration. As a family-friendly event, please note that strollers are not recommended due to the course's gravel paths, and pets are also not allowed for safety reasons. Organiser's Description
The Dancing Lights of Christmas returns for its 17th consecutive season. The Dancing Lights 5k Fun Run/Walk is hosted by The Dancing Lights of Christmas and Fleet Feet Mt Juliet/Nashville. Enjoy all the magic of the dancing lights in this family friendly 5K Fun Walk/Run! You will run amidst 2 million lights, timed to all your holiday favorites. The race will end at Santa's Village for some hot chocolate and goodies.
Santa's Village opens at 4 pm. The event will officially begin at 7pm with the race starting shortly after. We ask that you are parked and in the starting corral by 7pm. Due to the number of participants, traffic during parking is inevitable. Please plan accordingly!
Registration info:
September 1 - September 30 - $40 ages 13 & up; $30 for ages 6-12; kids 5 & under are free (no sweatshirt).
October 1 - November 5 - $45 ages 13 & up; $35 for ages 6-12; kids 5 & under are free (no sweatshirt).
LOGO'D EVENT HOODIES ARE AVAILABLE ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS. YOU WILL BE ABLE TO SELECT A SIZE DURING THE REGISTRATION PROCESS. ONCE A CERTAIN SIZE HAS RUN OUT, YOU WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO SELECT THAT SIZE. ONCE ALL SWEATSHIRTS HAVE RUN OUT, YOU WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO SELECT "NO SWEATSHIRT". SWEATSHIRTS ARE ADULT ONLY SIZING, NO YOUTH SIZES WILL BE AVAILABLE.
Please be advised, strollers are not recommended for this run as the course is not fully paved, largely made up of gravel. If you choose to bring a stroller, please line up toward the back of the group. Children are to stay with parents at all times. Upon completion of your race, you will not be able to re-enter the course due to liability and for your safety. Please be mindful of this as you make your way throughout the course. We appreciate your understanding on this matter.
This is an un-timed fun run, there will be no chip timing for runners. There will be a rolling clock at the finish line for you to check your time as you cross.
While we love pets, they will not be permitted on the course of the Dancing Lights 5k. With the race taking place after dark, we have to first think about the safety of all runners/walkers.
