Get ready for a fantastic day of fun and fitness at the first annual Dandelion Dash Trail 5K and Short Family Fun Run, hosted by Dandelion Dash on Saturday, May 17, 2025! This exciting event will take place at the beautiful Petoskey High School Cross Country grounds in Emmet County, and is perfect for runners and walkers of all skill levels. The professionally timed 5K Trail Run kicks off at 9:00 AM, offering a thrilling challenge for seasoned athletes and beginners alike. Participants who register by May 8 will receive a race t-shirt and a native prairie seed packet in their swag bag!
Following the 5K, get the whole family moving in the Family Fun Run, starting at 10:00 AM. This event spans approximately 1/4 to 1/2 mile over scenic fields, making it a perfect opportunity for families to enjoy the outdoors together while raising funds for the Petoskey Children's Nature Preschool. Every participant in the Family Fun Run will receive a finisher ribbon and a native prairie seed packet as well. Remember, registration is required for all participants, including children in trail-appropriate strollers, so don’t miss out! Join us for an unforgettable day

We are excited to bring a new event to the Petoskey community: the first annual Dandelion Dash! The Dash will include a PROFESSIONALLY TIMED 5K TRAIL RUN and a short FAMILY FUN RUN at the Petoskey High School Cross Country grounds. This event is a fundraiser for Petoskey Children's Nature Preschool.

* Approximately 1/4 TO 1/2 MILE, over fields (surface may be uneven and is not paved)

* The Family Fun Run is intended to be an opportunity for the whole family to move together and raise money for the preschool

CHECK-IN: You must check in prior to the event. Packet pickup is Friday, May 16 from 3:30-5:00pm at Petoskey Children's Nature Preschool (1804 E Mitchell, Petoskey, MI 49770), or at the event beginning at 8:00am.
PARKING: Petoskey Middle School parking lot
_THE FINE PRINT: __Children under age 12 must be supervised. Adults accompanying children on the run must register as participants. Trail-appropriate strollers are allowed for the Family Fun Run only. Family Fun Run registration for children ages 3-17 will be discounted to $10, and children ages 0-2 are free (prices shown at check-out). While we love pets, please leave your dog at home. _
