WHERE: Leonard Howell Park - Address: 5200 Bonham Rd, Oxford, OH 45056
BENEFIT: Every year, the Alpha Upsilon Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi at Miami University puts on a 5K run/walk in memory of their brother, Michael Hayes, who passed away in 2004 from small bowel cancer whilst also suffering from Crohn's disease. All proceeds from the race go to the Michael G. Hayes Memorial Scholarship Fund created by Michael to assist students on the Miami University campus who are battling life threatening illnesses, whilst pursuing their higher education. The services provided to scholarship recipients include but are not limited to: Door-to-door transportation to class, Transport to and from medical appointments, Insulin, Motorized Wheelchairs, and Grocery Delivery.
