Organiser's Description
2024 will be the 13th year for the Devils Den Trail Race. The Devils Den Trail Race is a trail run/race at Devils Den State Park directed by Extreme Events, LLC. There are three courses/distances. The routes go over some of the recently improved mountain bike and hiking trails along Lee Creek. All races will start in Camping Area A. These will be updated soon, but should be close to 3, 5, 9 and 13 miles.
PARKING
Parking is available next to the creek across from the Yellow Rock trail trail head, across the bridge and a few places in camping area A.
START TIMES
All races will start promptly at 10:00am (Notice the time change). The awards will occur at 11:00, 12:00 and 1:00, or whenever all runners have returned for that distance. We ask that runners chose the distance that allows them arrive at the finish within 3 hours.

Online registration end October 23. There will be on-site registration. T-shirts cannot be guaranteed after October 9th.

Devils Den Trail Race - 3.5 Mile

CLOSEDAll races will start in Camping Area A. The 3 mile course will start by the bathroom and take an immediately left at the gate at the end of the camping area onto the Gold Brick trail. It then turns right onto Devil's Racetrack, connects to the Fossil Flats trail, then crosses the creek on the Outlaw Loop, back to camping area A via the East side of the creek. There are two water crossings, one at the end of Outlaw Loop and one at the very end before returning to the camping area. -
Devils Den Trail Race - 5 Mile

CLOSEDStarting from camping area A, the 5 mile course will start by the bathroom and take an immediately left at the gate at the end of the camping area onto the Gold Brick trail. It then turns right onto Devil's Racetrack, connects to the Fossil Flats trail, then onto Dollar-a-Day. Runners will cross the creek at the end of Dollar-a-Day and come back to the starting point following the Sawmill loop trail along the flats next to the creek. There are two water crossings, one at the end of Sawmill Loop and one at the very end before returning to the camping area. -

CLOSEDThe 9 mile course will start by the bathroom and take an immediately left at the gate at the end of the camping area onto the Gold Brick trail. It then turns right onto Devil's Racetrack, connects to the Fossil Flats trail, then onto Dollar-a-Day. Runners will cross the creek at the end of Dollar-a-Day and head uphill to All You Can Eat, Racer's Hill, We Can Take It and back to the start via Sawmill Loop. This course may only be 4 additional miles, but there are more hills rocks and hills to climb on this route. it isn't for the novice trail runner. There are two water crossings, one at the end of Sawmill Loop and one at the very end before returning to the camping area. -
