The Wasatch Trails Collective (WTC) invite you to our second annual D'ia de los Muertos 5K Run and Walk on November 1st, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Tracy Aviarys Nature Center at Pia Okwai. This vibrant event celebrates culture and community while raising crucial funds for La Red de Solidaridad. La Red is a group of community members who have been running a hotline for people facing deportation in Utah since 2017. They use a deportation defense care pod model to accompany families experiencing immigration enforcement.
The funds raised here help La Red pay for consultations with lawyers, put money into detainee's commissary accounts and phone calls, and to provide mutual aid and emergency assistance to families impacted by deportations of loved ones.
COST: $20 per Participant (notice the final amount at checkout)
Were excited to welcome everyone, and the trail is designed to be accessible for all abilities, including those who use wheels (e.g., strollers, wheelchairs, walkers). If you have any specific accessibility needs or questions, please feel free to reach out. We look forward to seeing you there!

Wasatch Trails Collective (WTC) les invitan a nuestra segunda caminata/carrera anual de 5 km celebrando el D'ia de los Muertos este 1 de noviembre de 9am a 3 pm en el Centro de Naturaleza Tracy Aviary en Pia Okwai. Este vibrante evento celebra la cultura y la comunidad, a la vez que recauda fondos cruciales para la orginazacion La Red de Solidaridad. La Red es un grupo de miembros de la comunidad que ha operado una l'inea directa para personas que enfrentan la deportaci'on en Utah desde 2017. Utilizan un modelo de m'odulo de apoyo para la defensa contra la deportaci'on para acompa~nar a las familias que enfrentan la aplicaci'on de la ley migratoria.
Los fondos recaudados nos ayudan a pagar consultas con abogados, a depositar dinero en las cuentas de comisariato y a realizar llamadas telef'onicas a los detenidos, y a brindar ayuda mutua y asistencia de emergencia a las familias afectadas por la deportaci'on de sus seres queridos.
COSTO: $20 por persona (notese el monto total al finalizar el pago)
