Get ready for a fantastic day of fun and fitness at the Diamondhead 5K on Saturday, August 22, 2026, in beautiful Diamondhead, Hancock! The race kicks off at 8:00 AM, featuring a challenging USATF certified 5K course that promises an exhilarating out-and-back experience. For the little ones, a Kids' 1/2 Mile race will start at 8:45 AM, giving children ages 12 and under a chance to participate in a shorter distance for just $15, which includes both race options.
Participants can enjoy a low registration fee of $20 for GCRC members and $22 for non-members, with a $25 late registration fee available on race day. All pre-registered runners are guaranteed a T-shirt, and after the race, there will be plenty of refreshments, including drinks, food, fruit, and snacks! As a special treat, all runners will receive free access to the pool after the race, making for a perfect way to cool down and celebrate your achievements. Join us for an unforgettable day filled with camaraderie, competition, and community spirit!

Race walkers must follow USATF race walking guidelines. "Race walking requires the competitor to maintain contact with the ground at all times and requires the leading leg to be straightened as the foot makes contact with the ground. It must remain straightened until the leg passes under the body." -
