Whether you're a seasoned runner or a casual walker, the 5K offers a scenic loop around town, culminating back at the track. For those looking for a lighter challenge, the 1-mile Fun Run will take place immediately after the 5K, consisting of four laps around the track. Everyone who participates will receive a custom Dukes finisher medal, and awards will be handed out for the top male and female finishers as well as age group winners. Join us for a day filled with energy, camaraderie, and support for the Wellington High School Track and Field team—rain, shine, or snow!

Join us for the Dukes 5K & Fun Run on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 9:00 AM!
The Wellington High School Track and Field team is once again hosting their 5k race and 1 mile Fun Run Fundraiser. Come on out, rain or shine (or snow!!), March 22nd to the Wellington Dukes football stadium and support a great team of young athletes! Gates open at 8:00 am, 5k race starts at 9:00 am. Registration will also be available in person the day of the race for $25.
The 5k will take off from the track where you will leave the stadium and loop the area around town and finally finish where you started on the track. The 1 mile Fun Run is 4 laps around the track and starts right after the 5k runners leave the stadium area. All participants will receive a custom Dukes finisher medal.
The 5k will be a timed race. Overall male and female winner and age group winner awards will be presented after the race in the field house.
Age Groups (male and female):
13 and under, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and up.
