Choose between the challenging Trail Run Grind, which features a unique off-road course with water crossings and rocky terrains, or the family-friendly 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk, perfect for all skill levels. Both courses begin and end at the new EDWINS location in Cleveland Heights.
Registration kicks off at 9 AM, with participants starting in groups every five minutes beginning at 10 AM. Compete for awards in various age groups and enjoy a fun-filled day while supporting a worthy cause. PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT EDWINS LEADERSHIP & RESTAURANT INSTITUTE.
Every day men and women at EDWINS Leadership & Restaurant Institute grind it out to get a
second chance after incarceration. Compete in our 9th annual EDWINS Run for Re-Entry, to
show returning citizens that you support their right to fair and equal futures.
CHOOSE YOUR ADVENTURE
MILE FUN RUN OR WALK* - Tour the neighborhood around EDWINS with this beginner road
course. This mile course plays it safe sticking to neighborhood sidewalks. Stroller and
family-friendly!
TRAIL RUN GRIND*- Can you handle the toughest race in Ohio? This race starts
and ends at the new Edwins location in Cleveland Heights with a course unlike any other. Off-road. Through the water. Uphill.
Through rocky, unbalanced terrain. Participants will experience a small amount of road running,
but most of this course is a trail run that includes water crossings and steep skinny trails through
Doan Creek.
_*Both courses utilize public sidewalks and paths open to the public. There are also driveways_
_and cars, so please be aware of your surroundings. Know the course before you arrive.*_
TIME SLOTS AND RESULTS
RUN TIME SLOTS: Participants will start running in groups of 25 every 5 minutes beginning at 10
AM. Please choose a time slot when registering (limit 25 people per slot).
RESULTS: Final Results will be posted at noon on October 20.
AWARDS: Awarded to the top 3 men and top 3 women in each age group.
Age Groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over
RACE DAY: Packet Pick-Up begins at 9 AM until your time slot at EDWINS Restaurant.
