Ella's Race is a 10K/5K/1-mile race happening on March 21, 2026 in Raleigh, NC. This race is held in memory of Ella Newmiller, a young girl from Raleigh who passed away in 2012 from Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), a rare and devastating form of childhood brain cancer that currently has no cure. Our goal is to raise funds to bring awareness to DIPG and help fund research so that no other child has to suffer like Ella did.
All proceeds from the race benefit The Cure Starts Now, an organization dedicated to funding critical research to find a cure for DIPG and other pediatric brain cancers.
This race is hosted by Chick-fil-A Falls Village and Six Forks & Strickland. All in person participants will receive Chick-fil-A breakfast. Overall 1st place winners of the 10K and 5K races will receive Chick-fil-A for a year.
