Join us for the vibrant Elwood Community Days 5K Run & Walk on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 6:00 PM in the charming town of Elwood, Illinois. This exciting event invites runners and walkers of all ages to participate in a scenic 5K race that promises a fun-filled atmosphere. Registration is open until September 11, with onsite registration available on race day from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Each participant will receive entry to the Main Community Days Event along with a complimentary beer ticket, adding to the festive spirit.
The race will kick off from the far northwest pavilion, and participants will have 75 minutes to complete the course. Awards will be presented at 7:30 PM, recognizing the top finishers by age and gender. Don't miss the chance to win fabulous raffle baskets, with tickets available for purchase during packet pickup and on race day. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Bradley Veerman Charity Fund, supporting EMS scholarships and organizations dedicated to public service and safety. Come out to celebrate community, fitness, and service while keeping the spirit of giving alive!

Join us for the ELWOOD COMMUNITY DAYS 5K RUN & WALK ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 12 AT 6:00 PM.
Registration is now open until Thursday, September 11, 2025. Onsite registration opens Friday, September 12 at 3:00 until 5:30 PM, located at the race location. Please note:
Entry to the Main Community Days Event and 1 beer ticket will be included, over a $10.00 value.
* Race event will start at the far NORTH WEST PAVILLON. Look for J3Timing set up.
* There will be a 75 minute cut off time to finish the race.
* Awards will be given out promptly at 7:30 PM at the MAIN COMMUNITY DAYS PAVILION. Awards will be given to the top finishers by age and gender.
* Registration the day of the race will increase to $40.00 with no guarantee of a race shirt.
* Rain or shine unless imminent danger. No refunds will be issued.
* Raffle tickets will be sold for chances to win some amazing raffle baskets. Tickets will be available for purchase at packet pick up on September 11 and also on race day. Raffle baskets will be pulled at 6:30 PM and can be picked up at the MAIN COMMUNITY PAVILION.
Packet pickup will be Thursday, September 11, from 11:00AM-6:00PM at the Elwood Village Hall, located at 401 E Mississippi Ave, Elwood, IL, 60421.
Onsite packet pickup the day of the race will be from 3:00 PM-5:30 PM. All packets not picked up will be donated to charities, unless otherwise arranged.
Bradley Veerman Charity Fund is hosting the Elwood Community Days 5K Run & Walk. Proceeds from this event will support the Bradley Veerman Charity Fund. The Bradley Veerman Charity Fund is a 401(C) 3, not-for-profit, whose goal is to raise money for EMS scholarships, donate to other not-for-profit organizations dedicated to those in public service, public safety, and first responders in need.
We feel that even though Bradley has completed his task here on earth, his spirit to protect and help others lives on in all of us. Please help keep his spirit of service and giving to others alive.
