Escape to Belle Isle

Join us again on beautiful Belle Isle for our annual Escape to Belle Isle races!
We will be hosting this year's race live, outdoors, and in person! If you feel more comfortable with a virtual event, that's still an option! If you'd like, add a race shirt and/or medal to your registration and we'll try to get it to you before the event. 
Every event registration and every dollar you fundraise helps Ronald McDonald House Charities Detroit provide a home away from home for families while their child is hospitalized. The pandemic has been difficult for everyone, but especially for families with a hospitalized child.
For a sick kid, there's nothing better than the comfort of having mom and dad at their side. For mom and dad, there's comfort, support, and a place to call home when they have to travel for their critically ill or injured child to receive medical care.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I pick up my packet? You can pick up your packet starting at 7:30 am on race day. Parking is free and close by in case you want to run back to your car to drop off or change into your t-shirt!
What time do the races start? The 2 mile, 5k, and 10k all begin at 8:30 am. The Kid's Fun Run begins when the other races have wrapped up, around 10 am. 
Can I bring my stroller? What about my dog? We are stroller and furry-friend friendly! Bring your kiddos and your pup for a morning of family fun.
How far is the Kid's Fun Run? The Kid's Fun Run is about 400 yards. They get their own medals!
Does everyone get a shirt and a medal? All in person runners/walkers will receive a shirt and medal. Virtual runners/walkers can add either or both for an additional cost to cover shipping.
