Join us for the exciting Evan Kratochwill Memorial Invite Community 2 Mile Run/Walk on Saturday, October 4, 2025, in Cross Plains, Dane. This uplifting event, hosted at Glacier Creek Middle School, honors the memory of Evan Kratochwill, a beloved former student and member of the Middleton Cross Country team who tragically passed away in 2021. The community race kicks off at 7:45 AM, providing participants a chance to enjoy a scenic 2-mile cross country course while coming together in support of a great cause.
This year, participants can register for just $30, with packet pickup available on Friday evening from 5-6 PM and on race day starting at 6:30 AM. Don’t miss the chance to secure your race shirt by registering by September 24th! Join us for a morning filled with camaraderie, competition, and community spirit, capped off by an awards ceremony at 8:25 AM. Proceeds from the event will benefit the ongoing support of the Middleton High School Cross Country programs and enhancements to the Evan Kratochwill Memorial Races, making this a truly meaningful experience for all involved.

Organiser's Description
Join us for a community 2 mile cross country run/walk taking place at Glacier Creek Middle School as a part of the annual 2025 Evan Kratochwill Memorial Invitational hosted by Middleton High School. The races are put on by Middleton High School XC in honor of Evan Kratochwill, who passed away tragically in the fall of 2021. Evan was a former student at GCMS and at MHS, as well as a team member of the Middleton Cross Country team.
The two mile cross country run/walk will take place at 7:45 am on Saturday, October 4, 2025. We will have an awards ceremony for the community race. That will take place near 8:25.
Participants should park in the GCMS parking lot in front and side of the school. The back lot (by the basketball hoops) we are reserving for athletes, volunteers, and buses. We will have packet pickup on Friday night at GCMS from 5-6 PM (on the far side by the 5th grade wing/gym). Participants can sign up as well from 5-6 pm. Cost is $30.
On Saturday, packet pickup and in-person registration will begin at 6:30 am on race day. Cost on race day is $30. Packet pickup will end at 7:35 AM. **REGISTER BY SEPTEMBER 24TH FOR A GUARANTEED SHIRT* We will have a limited number of extra shirts at in-person registration.

We will have live results and on site courtesy of Prime Time Timing with a jumbo electronic Big Board at the finish line! We appreciate the generosity of the participants this year and last year who donated towards this event. Proceeds and donations go directly towards course maintenance, race day logistics and enhancements into the Evan Kratochwill Memorial Races (community, middle school, high school), and towards the Middleton High School Cross Country programs.
