Organiser's Description

This ride was one of the original BIG rides in the Southeast back in the day, and something many looked forward to as their mid-summer goal. The Greenville Watershed offers a challenging climb but also cool breezes and shade when climbing, making it the perfect summer riding location. This ride was held again in 2022 and will be held annually. The Rotary Club of Tryon values bringing this quality event back to life.

Riders will be treated to 4 fully stocked aid stations along the course with friendly volunteers, great course markings, as well as mechanical and SAG support. We will have a meal afterward as well.

We hope you will join us for this ride and bring your friends!

LONG LOOP - 65 MILES

https://ridewithgps.com/routes/45918603

This is the one and only FAB 4th loop with 65 miles of rolling hills going through the iconic small towns of Tryon, NC, and Landrum, SC.

**For 2024, we will revert to most of the original course used in 2022 but will continue with a few of the changes from 2023 that will increase safety and avoid lousy pavement.

On this ride, you climb the Greenville watershed and finish with a descent of the Saluda Grade (4 miles of flying) and a flat all-out sprint to the finish.

SHORT LOOP - 33 MILES

This ride was added after the original loop to allow riders of all abilities to enjoy a challenging course without the distance and climbing.

**For 2024, we will revert to most of the original course used in 2022 but will continue with a few of the changes from 2023 that will increase safety and avoid lousy pavement.

There is still a short "challenge" hill on this course, but otherwise, it is a very friendly course for all abilities.
